Typus	HT: HEID Rauh 44149 [Exsiccata sub no. HEID 607660 & in spiritu sub no. HEID 204773]
Typification according to protologue	Holotypus: E. G. KAMM (Honduras) et RAUH Nr. 44 149, in herb. inst. bot. system. univ. heidelbergensi (HEID). [German version:] Holotypus: E. G. KAMM & W. RAUH Nr. 44 179 [sic!] (Juli, 1975); im Herbarium des Instituts für Systematische Botanik der Universität Heidelberg (HEID).
Locus classicus according to protologue	Habitat et distributio: Honduras, in valle Angel apud Tecucicalpa ad parietes rupium arduos in pineto caribeae apud 1800 m. s. m. [German version:] Heimat und Verbreitung: steile Felswände im Pinus caribaea–Wald bei 1800 m im Valle de Angel bei Tecucicalpa, Honduras.
Comments	The Latin typification cites «Nr. 44 149» as type gathering whereas the German version cites «Nr. 44 179» together with a wrong gathering date. According to the fieldbook the type was collected at 1977-09-03 (and not at 1975-07!), originally with the unclearly written number «44143», which was misspelled for several times by Rauh and others as «44149». «Rauh 44179» is definitely wrong and represents a gathering of Tillandsia streptophylla collected 1977-09-04 at Lago Yojoa.
