Locus classicus according to protologue	Habitat et distributio: Brasilia, locus ignotus. Estado Rio de Janeiro (?) [German version:] Heimat und Verbreitung: Brasilien, genauer Fundort unbekannt. Herkunft: Botanischer Garten Berlin (Vriesea Nr. 24) = B.G.H Nr. 50 887 und Botanischer Garten Rio de Janeiro.
