This gathering was made on the way from Abancay to Cuzco. From the field diary No. 58 the way Rauh took on 1971-08-08 could be retraced in all details, see Itinerary table. Before Rauh collected Rauh 25945 he passed Río Apurimac at Puente Kunyac, as noted on page HEIDRAUHFDD058_053: «An Apurimacbrücke {at Apurimac bridge}». On the next page HEIDRAUHFDD058_054 he noted: «Straße verläßt Apurimactal und führt in Seitental weiter. {Road is leaving the valley of Río Apurimac and continues through a side valley}». This is the valley of Río Berbejo. A few lines below the new Tillandsia is mentioned for the first time: «1900m Tillandsia oder Vriesea, klein weiß, an Felswänden [...] 2200 {1900 msm Tillandsia or Vriesea, small, white, at rock faces [...] 2200}». So it was collected between 1900 msm and 2200 msm, not far above the mouth of Río Berbejo into Río Apurimac. Coordinates were taken from the point where highway PE-35 crosses the 2050 msm contour lline. As the road runs on the right side of Río Berbejo, which is the boundary between Distr. Mollepata and Distr. Limatambo, the Holotype of Tillandsia pseudomicans was collected in Mollepata (Dept. Cuzco). [CNS 2017-04-25]
